    PLEASE NOTE: Secretary-Treasurer of the AFL-CIO, Liz Shuler, will share opening remarks at the town hall and discuss the importance of casting your ballots!  Do not forget to support union women leaders and register to attend the All of Us Town Hall SNAP* to Vote!

    On August 6, 2020, The Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW), in affiliation with the AFL-CIO, presents an online town hall meeting commemorating the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote. The struggle for full suffrage continues today, so tune in to hear from women leaders as we examine the complex history of the suffrage movement. We will provide the resources necessary for YOU to get involved in getting women out to vote. Please click here to register for the CLUW Town Hall: SNAP* the VOTE!

    Special Guests at the All of Us Town Hall: SNAP the Vote include:

    Secretary-Treasurer of the AFL-CIO, Liz Shuler, will share opening remarks and discuss the importance of voting.

    Rep. Deb Haaland (NM)one of the first Native American women in U.S. history to be elected to Congress, will discuss the effects of the pandemic on the first nation’s community; the importance of voting in the Native American community; and the significant barriers to Native American voters.

    Muriel Bowser, the Mayor of the District of Columbia (D.C.) , will talk about the importance of voting and the suffrage issue of DC Statehood.

    Ruth Ibarra, President of CLUW CA Capital Chapterand CLUW member Teresa Oller will both emphasize the importance of young people voting and discuss the effects of COVID-19 in their industries.

    CLUW member & Lynn Marie Smith & the DC Labor Chorus will debut a new song based on Katy Perry’s "Roar".
