  • CLUW's Resolution Writing Workshop Saturday, May 1st & May 15th

    With the national convention soon approaching, we know that many of you are interested in submitting resolutions.

    Please register here for CLUW's Resolution Writing Workshop.

    Please join Connie Cordovilla and Helen Ramirez-Odell either this Saturday, May 1 at 3:00 PM till  4:30 PM ET or two weeks from now, Saturday, May 15 at 3:00 PM till 4:30 PM ET in a workshop where you can get all of your questions answered on how to write a resolution.

    Connie Cordovilla is a life-time member of the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW), serves as the president of VA NOW, Inc. and co-president of the Clearinghouse on Women’s Issues (CWI).  She worked for thirty years at the American Federation of Teachers, working on civil, human and women’s rights issues and served for a period as AFT Vice President on the CLUW National Officers Council. She successfully submitted numerous resolutions in the name of the AFT over the years as well as assisting AFT members to prepare resolutions for their biennial Conventions.

    Helen Ramirez-Odell is a lifetime member of CLUW.  She was an AFT delegate to CLUW for many years, chaired the Resolutions Committee for many years and also chaired CLUW's Women's Health and Wellness Committee. She is a member of Chicago CLUW and was just re-elected by Chicago Teachers Union retirees to serve another 3 year term as a CTU Retiree Delegate.

    Helen is currently working on a project to install a statue of Mother Jones outdoors in downtown Chicago and also serves as vice-president of Working Women's History Project in Chicago.
